First snow of the season yesterday and I am so not amused... although Mae loved it and even insisted on making a snow man. With no gloves, a tiny one was all I could manage. The goats were so cold and wet I'm pretty sure Lila, thought she was going to die, lol. I think our animals are like us where although we live in New England, some of us absolutely dread winter. After a long day of working at the vet I made the long trek home to take care of the animals before bed. Dan has his hands full getting Mae taken care of so I just get everyone tucked away with a head lamp and my bright headlights on the car. Ozzie our silkie rooster followed me into the chicken pen a few days ago and is now acting like he has always gotten along with everyone! He had a history of not playing nice but hasn't shown any aggression in a few days so I think he is deciding...

Meet Etta Jo.  She is a Nigerian Dwarf cross goat in full milk that we were able to welcome into our farm.  We will be introducing her to the other girls over the next few days! This week has been very busy.  We are finishing up some candles, salves, and lip balms for our events this weekend.  We have launched two new lip balm flavors; Bubble Gum and BubbleMint.  I will say the BubbleMint is absolutely my favorite.  Starts nice and sweet with a bubbly flavor, and has you thinking for about 2 minutes "where the heck is the mint?"...

We've been so busy here. Between making candles/salve, blanching squash, and taking care of animals, we have been maxed out every night!  We had to go to the grocery store today to pick up some sale items (which is SO much fun with a 2.5 year old). Before the grocery store we visited the local pet store which just happened to have goldfish on sale SO now we are the proud owners of a new fan tail goldfish that Mae has proudly named Goldie like Peppa Pig's goldfish. Dan is thrilled, and I'm sure Goldie is too. The poor unfortunate...

Poor Mae has a nasty cold. I swear she inherited my sinus tract, which is horrible. She slept all night but was up early.  We played a while and then took a nice steamy bath to try to help her breathe. First cold of the season but every cold this poor kiddo gets is so stressful. Today we bought a little paint-it-yourself bird feeder on sale at Tractor Supply! I realize how much of a messy nightmare this will be, but keeping a sick kiddo busy and happy can be hard, so it's worth the mess.    We are so...
