Busy Busy!

Busy Busy!

As seems to be the trend we have been very busy! Dan was at a holiday indoor market in Colchester on Saturday and met a lot of great people while Mae and I bummed around the house a bit and cleaned coops and hutches. Later in the morning we went to Adams Adventure, a playground designed for kids with all kinds of disabilities. Mae loves it there because she gets to be a bit more independent and can climb the stairs and go down the slide on her own! Sunday was a busy day as well. Mae and I went...

Growing.

Growing.

So yet again we have been super busy! Lately we've been making bundled gift baskets, mixing lavender sachet mix and making cheese from our goat milk. We also had a dear friend drop off our two new family members, two bunnies! We are now at a total of 3 bunnies which is funny because until we got Matilda I really wasn't sure I even cared for bunnies, now they will have a special role in our family. Colt, the grey boy is very outgoing and sweet and Tango the calico female is sweet but shy. We can wait to get to know...

Winter is here. Kind of.

First snow of the season yesterday and I am so not amused... although Mae loved it and even insisted on making a snow man. With no gloves, a tiny one was all I could manage. The goats were so cold and wet I'm pretty sure Lila, thought she was going to die, lol. I think our animals are like us where although we live in New England, some of us absolutely dread winter. Because of the icky weather, Mae and I planned a few crafts including sensory stuff like dried noodles, marbles and glitter glue. A friendship bracelet kit at...

Candles.

After a long day of working at the vet I made the long trek home to take care of the animals before bed. Dan has his hands full getting Mae taken care of so I just get everyone tucked away with a head lamp and my bright headlights on the car. Ozzie our silkie rooster followed me into the chicken pen a few days ago and is now acting like he has always gotten along with everyone! He had a history of not playing nice but hasn't shown any aggression in a few days so I think he is deciding...

Busy days.

Busy days.

Ok....so yea it's been a while since we blogged. Lots going on. We had two very successful events last weekend that have kept us busy along with Mae and her antics and the animals with theirs. We are sad to announce the passing of our sweet silver laced Wyandotte which was part if a small flock that we took on from a family in need. We take every loss very personal and will miss her dearly. We are trying to dry Marilyn out for the winter and are continuing to get a bountiful supply of milk from Etta which we...
