Market Day.

Wow. Today was a long day. It started when I woke up at 4:15am.  This has been the case every day for about a week.  No explanations.  I moseyed on downstairs to watch an episode of Stranger Things on Netflix while the girls continues sleeping.  Made some coffee and settled into my recliner for some chill time.  Once 6 oclock came and I heard the girls starting to come to, I threw together a quick breakfast for us. Mae was other-worldly this morning.  A complete terror. Nothing made her happy and from 6:00 until I left for the market she...

Cheese please.

Mae slept all night in her own bed and Marilyn blessed us with a beautiful amount of milk last night to make cheese today! On that note we figured we would share how we make soft farm cheese, which can be made with cows milk from the store too. Christmas already?

Up early with Mae this morning. Paying for the 7:20 wake up yesterday. As usual Ozzie the silkie rooster starts a chorus of cockadoodledoos between him and the other two Roosters. With a chilly night, Walter, our needy cat was glued to Beth under the covers all night.  Walter is quite literally obsessed with Beth. When we adopted him as a 4 week old kitten he was less than half a pound, with pneumonia and such a high parasite count that he had a pretty severe heart murmur. Beth sat up with him many nights certain each breath would be...

Beth was up early this morning to get the critters taken care of before heading off to work at the vet today. Mae slept until 7:20am. Hallelujah. Dan has munchkin duty today. Sees our silke roo loose and get all scratched up trying to catch him. Boo. Last night he stayed up working on the label redesign for our products. To incorporate our new logo. As summer winds down last night was perfect sleeping weather, windows cracked open! Sitting here writing this listening to the roos crow, one thing sticks out in our life right now. We just really stinking...
